1 Who we are
Feel & Joy is run by Feel & Joy. Under India’s Digital Personal Data Protection Act, 2023 (the DPDP Act), we are the “Data Fiduciary”: we decide why and how your personal data is used. You are the “Data Principal”: the person the data is about.
This notice tells you, in plain words, what we collect, why, who sees it, how long we keep it, and what you can do about it. You can also read our Terms of Use, Cookie Policy and No Refund Policy too.
2 What we collect
We collect only what we need to run Feel & Joy. Nothing below is bought from anyone else.
| What | Details | Where it comes from |
|---|---|---|
| Your account | Name or nickname, email, password (stored scrambled, we cannot read it), date of birth, language, profile photo link if you sign in with Google or Facebook. | You, or Google / Facebook when you choose them |
| Your couple space | Couple nickname, city, short bio, boundaries, safe word, who your partner is, connections with other couples, and notes you write for a meetup. | You |
| What you do on the site | Digital Sex Tablets you bought or opened, how far you got, ratings, saved tablets, Desire Match answers, saved positions, daily scratch cards. | Created when you use Feel & Joy |
| Payments | Order number, amount, status, time and the payment gateway’s reference. Card, UPI and bank details are typed on the gateway’s own page. We never see or store them. | You and CCAvenue (our payment gateway) |
| Messages to us | Your name, email, phone (if you give it) and what you write when you contact us. | You |
| Proof that you agreed | Each time you say yes to something (the 18+ check, your cookie choice, the terms when you sign up, the rules before a tablet), we save what you agreed to, when, which version of our policy you saw, and the IP address, device type, operating system, browser, screen size, time zone, language and page you were on. A random number in a cookie links one browser’s choices together. | Your browser, when you say yes |
| Technical details | IP address, browser and device type, and pages that gave errors, kept in server logs for security and fixing faults. Website analytics only if you allow it (see Cookies). | Your browser, automatically |
Much of what you save here is deeply personal, such as your desires, boundaries and how you play as a couple. We treat all of it with extra care even though the law does not put it in a separate category.
3 Why we use your data
We use your personal data only for these purposes, and for nothing else without asking you first:
- Run your account: sign you in, remember your language, show your library.
- Check you are an adult: your date of birth is used for this and to keep the site 18+.
- Give you what you buy: take payment through the gateway, unlock the tablet, share it with your partner.
- Couple features you switch on: couple space, Desire Match, Circles and Duo Nights work only with the choices you make.
- Help and complaints: answer your messages and data requests.
- Safety and security: stop fraud, block abuse, keep under-18s out, and fix faults.
- Follow the law: keep tax and accounting records, answer lawful requests from authorities.
- Prove that you agreed: keep a record of your yes (with the time, IP address and device details) so we can show it if we are asked, and to stop misuse.
- Understand how the site is used: website analytics, only if you say yes in the cookie banner.
We do not sell your data, we do not show you ads based on it, and we never use your answers or boundaries for marketing.
5 Your consent, and taking it back
When you create an account we ask you to tick a box to say you are 18+, you agree to our Terms and you have read this notice. That box is not ticked for you, and it is a separate choice from cookies.
You can take your consent back at any time, as easily as you gave it:
- Cookies and analytics: use “Cookie settings” at the bottom of any page.
- Your account and data: use the Privacy centre to download or delete everything.
If you withdraw consent to the account itself, we can no longer run your account, so it will be deleted. Withdrawing does not undo anything we already did lawfully before that.
6 How long we keep it
| Data | How long |
|---|---|
| Account, couple space and play data | While your account is active. Removed when you delete it. |
| Order and payment records | As long as Indian tax and accounting laws require (up to 8 years). After you delete your account they no longer point to you. |
| Messages and complaints to us | Up to 3 years after we close them, so we can follow up and show how we handled them. |
| Record of what you agreed to | Up to 3 years, as proof. When you delete your account the record stays but no longer points at you: the full IP address and device details are removed. |
| Server logs | A short time, usually 90 days or less. |
| Your cookie choice | 6 months in your browser, then we ask again. |
When we no longer need data for the reason we collected it, we delete it.
7 Your rights under the DPDP Act
- Know and get a copy: see what personal data we hold, why we use it and who we share it with. In the Privacy centre you can download it in one click.
- Correct, complete and update: change your name in the Privacy centre, or ask us to fix anything else, including your date of birth if it is wrong.
- Erase: delete your account and data yourself in the Privacy centre. We keep only what the law makes us keep (payment records).
- Complain: write to our Grievance Officer below. We reply within 48 hours and try to finish within 15 days.
- Nominate someone: name a person who can use these rights for you if you die or cannot act for yourself.
To use a right, use the Privacy centre or the request form. We may ask you to confirm it is really you before we share or delete anything. If you are still not satisfied after using our grievance process, you can complain to the Data Protection Board of India.
8 Adults only
Feel & Joy is only for people aged 18 and over. We check your date of birth when you join and ask you to confirm your age before you enter. We do not knowingly collect data from anyone under 18 and we do not track or profile children. If you think a person under 18 has an account, tell us at once through the contact form and we will delete it.
9 Keeping your data safe
We use reasonable safeguards: passwords are stored scrambled so nobody, including us, can read them, payment details never touch our servers, admin tools are limited to a few people, and we keep our software up to date. No system is perfectly safe, so please use a strong password that you do not use anywhere else.
If a personal data breach affects you, we will tell you and the Data Protection Board of India, as the law requires, and explain what happened and what to do.
10 Data outside India
Some of our providers, such as Google (analytics and sign-in) or Facebook (sign-in), may process data on servers outside India. We allow this only where the DPDP Act allows it, and only for the purposes above.
12 Your part
The DPDP Act also asks you to: give true details, not pretend to be someone else, not send false complaints, and follow the law. If you do not, we may have to close your account.
13 Changes to this notice
If we change how we use your data in a way that matters, we will update the date at the top, show a notice on the site, and ask for your consent again where the law needs it. Older versions are available if you ask us.
14 Contact and Grievance Officer
